Assists in the retention of new P&C, life and financial customers and the retention of existing accounts in support of agency goals. Provides customer service to assign accounts in support of agent activities and maintains high service standards.
B. Essential Functions:
- Lead prospecting during all customer contacts. Actively seeks referrals from current client base to solicit for new business prospects and follows up to generate new business using prospect database and system. Solicit expiration dates for policies not written by agency.
- Personal lines Property and Casualty insurance product sales to new and existing accounts. Actively solicits increases in coverage or rounding out accounts through multi-lining to clients at every service contact. Explain coverage and exclusions to clients.
- Conduct renewal CARE reviews at least 30 days prior to the renewal of an account. Contact insured for latest data and obtain renewal information 30 days before renewal date. Assist Producer as directed or necessary. Thirty days prior to renewal determines if non-Nationwide policies can be rewritten in Nationwide. Secures and submits required renewal underwriting information.
- Process customer service requests. Examples: Change requests for auto. Certificates of Insurance cards same day as requested. Process homeowner change confirmations same day as requested. Process customer requested cancellations same day as requested. Mail customers confirmations of changes to accounts.
- Maintains own follow-up and suspense file on overdue orders, correspondence and claims. Follows up on all overdue and suspense items. Maintain customer's account on agency automation system. Document customer contacts in history notes. Follow account automation procedures. Maintains files in an orderly, up-to-date manner.
- To monitor claim process and insure that customer has been contacted by the adjuster within 48 hours of placing the claim. Follows up on outstanding claims and provides assistance in their resolution as necessary.
- Maintain a concern for timeliness and completeness when interacting with customers, agency and company personnel to minimize potential for error or omission claims.
- Receive phone calls from clients and companies, complies with requests and keeps Producer informed of client activities.
- Perform special projects at management's request.
- Paid vacation 2 weeks, 7 paid sick days and 3 paid personal days.
- Continuing Education and renewal of license paid by Agency.
